Actor Siddharth, son of legendary filmmaker Bharathan Bharathan is remaking his father's film Nidra. Nidra is a 1981 classic movie by bharathan with Vijay Menon, Shanthikrishna, Abraham P. K., Lalu Alex, KPAC Lalitha in the lead roles. Siddharth and Rima Kallingal are playing the lead roles in the new film. the movie will also have Jishnu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Rajeev Parameshwaran, Vijay Menon and KPAC Lalitha in important roles The story has been credited to Bharathan and the adapted screenplay has been written by Siddharth and Santhosh Echikkanam (who has also written the dialogues). According to Siddharth, it is based on the life of a slightly eccentric man. He belongs to a wealthy family and gets married to his childhood sweetheart. She is in for a shock after the marriage when she finds herself in a soup, married to this mentally disturbed man, who is treated in a hostile way by his relatives. How she manages things from then on is what the story is all about. Sameer Thahir handles the camera, while Jassie Gift is the music director. Lucsam, the producers of Salt N’ Pepper, are the producers.
