Arjunan Sakshi – Social Substance After the hit and much talked ‘Passenger ‘ Director Ranjith Shankar’s Second film ‘Arjunan Sakshi’ released yesterday in kerala and major centres in other parts of India. The film is a social cinema that portraits the current policitical, social, economical picture of cochin city. The film is absolutely relevant to todays kerala as well as the changing face of Malayalam cinema. There are no stars in this cinema. ![]() The main plot is revolving around the murder of district collector Firoz Moopan and the political, corporate, media and gunda nexus involved in that murder. Prithiviraj is characterizing the role of a young man Architect Roy Mathew, Who fortunately or unfortunately involves in the process of finding the cause and culprits behind the incident. Prithvi is unquestionably stylish and splendid in his role. As a representative of common man prithvi is raising some questions which is unanswered and he himself move towards to find the answer. The movie is not extraordinary but it has a good stuff. Script is sensible and director once again proved that he can deliver the best as a good technician and a creative man. No unexpected twists, No foolish situations and not larger than life scenes. All characters have their identity and the casting is reasonable. The race scene is well taken with the help of efx team. Camera by Ajayan Vincent is special as usual. Editing is in line with story. The Music by bigibal also sounds good. Arjunan Sakshi is absolutely a social cinema. Director is appreciable for his guts to come with such kind of subjects beyond the commercial calculations that normally rules Malayalam cinema. Please support ‘Arjunan Sakshi’. Verdict: Spectators are the Arjunans. But the point is that do we realize that?. Be the change |
