Chattambinadu "Mass Entertainer"
The story is set at a place called Chembattunadu,Virendra Mallaya, who hails from a Kannada speaking area, but knows a little bit of Malayalam, goes to Chembattunadu to buy a coffee plantation. The place is full of criminals, who are a law by themselves. Things get complicated when the goons take control of the whole area which results in Chembattunadu being renamed as Chattambinadu. Virendra Mallaya, a criminal himself, takes on the other criminals in a crackdown battle! Siddique and Manoj K Jayan play feudal lords from rival families, who actually take care of the goondas. Vinu Mohan plays Mammootty's younger brother while Lakshmi Rai and Maithily(Manikyam) are the heroines. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Salim kumar leads the comedy situations with veteran Janaradhanan and other famous actors of Malayalam industry spark off the comedy track successfully. Scripted by Benny P Nayaramabalam, Chattambinadu is expected to be another hit following the big hits in the past like Kalyanaraman, Chanthupottu, Thommanum Makkalum, Chotta Mumbai and Annan Thampi. Manoj Pillai handles the camera while Alex Paul,Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma team scores the music. A result of good teamwork this movie will entertain the common Malayalee audience. Director Shafi - Mammootty team is able to score a hat trick of hits with Chattambinadu, after the super hit films Thommanum Makkalum and Mayavi. As per the first theatre report the film will hit the box office chart with new collection records.
