Do Duni Char marks the directorial debut of director Habib Faisal. It will be Disney's first full-length non-animated Hindi language feature film.More importantly, it will feature the famous 1970s and 1980s romantic lead pair Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh Kapoor back on the silver screen. It produced by Planman Motion Pictures.

At the centre of the film is the Duggal family, who lives in a DDA flat in Delhi. Father and schoolteacher Mr. Duggal (Rishi Kapoor) is trying his best to cope with double digit inflation rates and single digit increments in his salary while his wife (Neetu) loves the good life. Added to that is a demanding teenage daughter (Aditi Vasudev) and a fast-track son (Archit Krishna). The life of the Duggals is passing by in simply taking care of the basics.

But one day, they decide to dream. Their ticket to dreaming comes in the form of a wedding invitation. An innocent little wedding invitation from Phupho, Duggal’s ‘little’ sister from Meerut. It is happening in Phupho's in-laws. and give them an ultimatum: They have to come by a car. The only problem is that the Duggals don’t own a car.

There is too much of Phupho’s pride at stake to cancel going to the wedding. So the Duggals gear up for their first big purchase in years. The piggy banks are emptied. The PF is encashed. A loan is in the offing. New hiding places in the house are found, where everyone discreetly kept their savings... and secrets. But the real battle lines are drawn within the house. The four of them can’t seem to agree on anything – the car, the make, the color.

This crazy Duggals will fight it out at home (and the neighborhood) for what they think is a ‘good buy’ for the family! This family bonds in the most unexpected and hilarious situations. And just when they think they are sorted out, comes one big, lurking temptation. Much like the apple in the Garden of Eden. And then, begins another journey that will drive them, and you, pretty much nuts.

‘Do Dooni Chaar’ is the story of the middleclass man and his tireless endeavor in coping with the fast, new ‘India Shining’. It’s funny, real and heart warming. We all have our own scooter-to-car tales. We are all our own Duggal. ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ makes us see the Duggal in us with the rare chance to laugh at ourselves.
