After churning out stupendous flicks like Aankhen, Waqt and Namastey London, director Vipul Shah and Akshay Kumar has joined hands for their latest venture titled Action Replayy. The film is based on a 1994 Gujarati play of the same title by Vipul Shah himself. Paired opposite Akshay Kumar is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was last seen with him in Khakee.

Action Replayy is a time travel romantic comedy set in the seventies. A young man frustrated by seeing his parents bickering and squabbling leaps into his scientist uncle's time machine and goes back in time find out their dating years. He tries to find out what went wrong between his parents that is making them fight even after years.

Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the parents and they will be seen sporting the retro look for most part of the film. Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Neha Dhupia, Rajpal Yadav, Rannvijay Singh, Randhir Kapoor, Aditiya Roy Kapoor and Sudeepa Singh play supporting roles in the film.

Action Replayy is produced by Vipul Shah himself under the banner of Blockbuster Movie Entertainers. Sejal Shah is the cinematographer while Pritam has scored the music for the film.
