Paiya is Lingusamy's next directorial venture after Bheema. Paiya will be produced by Tiruppathi Brothers. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for 'Paiya', while Madhi will take care of cinematography. Editing is by Anthony and lyrics are by Na Muthukumar and Yugabharathi.

PAIYA FILM STORY :

Contrary to the present trend, the story of Paiyaa, which has created quite a stir even before the launch, has been out. The Karthi and Tamannaah starrer, directed by Lingusamy, promises to be a story that 'travels'. The story revolves around a journey along the national highway linking Mumbai and Bangalore.

'Paiyaa' is said to be loosely inspired by the Hollywood film 'Hitcher', which was cinematographed on the highways of Californian province. 'Paiyya' is about the interactions between the villain (who is slightly off-balanced mentally), who travels on the highway and his co-travelers (the hero and the heroine).

Lingusamy has made the necessary modifications in the screenplay to make the film suit the Tamil audience.
