Gowtham Vasudev Menon, the reigning filmmaker of Tamil film industry has been churning out awe-inspiring films in his career. Well, he holds a prominent place for making films of different genres. After Vaaranam Aayiram he is back with Simbu and Trisha in 'Vinnaithaandi Varuavayaa'. Gowtham himself terms his film to be a ‘Breezy Romance-entertainer’. The film is produced by Madan and Ganesh of Escape Artists Motion Pictures in collaboration with Kumar and Jayaraman (R.S. Infotainment). The film is simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha taking on lead roles.

The ace director with Trisha and Simbu is trying to make the film best in all aspects. Gautham is very much impressed by the hard work of Simbu and Trisha. The pair is having great chemistry. The film is about an ambitious assistant director Karthik (Silambarasan) wanting to make it big as a filmmaker. But when he falls in love with a Christian girl Jessie (Trisha), he’s ready to sacrifice his biggest dreams. Yeah! The ‘Little Superstar’ Silambarasan has geared up  for a new avatar of a cool energetic lad in a breezy romantic entertainer rather than his rough punch dialogues and man-handling 50 men at the same time.

Gautham always had Harris Jeyaraj score music for his movies but this time decided to go with the legendary Oscar winner A.R. RAHMAN. The film has five song situations and Rahman has tuned melodies for 3 songs penned by Thamarai.Manoj Paramahamsa handles cinematography adding to the beauty of the film with spectacular ambience envisioned by Rajeevan (art director) and the crisp cutting of Anthony (Editing).

The film also has Ganesh, Babu Anthony, Pranav, Kitty, Uma Padmanabhan and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan performing prominent characters. The film has been shot across the exotic locales of Chennai, Kerala, Malta Island and New York. Nalini Sriram adds to the appearance of the film with striking costumes for all the actors in the scenes and songs. The film is slated to hit screens for Valentine’s Day on February 14…
