After Big B with Mammootty and Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded with Mohanlal, director Amal Neerad's next venture is Anwar, with Prithviraj and Mamtha Mohandas in the lead. Written by the director himself revealed that though the film is based on terrorism, it will be different from the other films in the genre. Anwar is produced by Raj Zacharias under the banner Celebs and Red Carpet.

Anwar is a a suspense story that realistically views certain human conditions. It's focus is on 'Terrorism'. Prithviraj plays the protagonist in the film. Anwer is the story of a one man's crusade against society's evil plots to term him as an outcast.It is his war against the social institutions to protect his lif's love. The plot develop in contemporary south India, which is seeing a sudden upswing in militarized religious fundamental activities.

The film will also star National Award-winning Tamil actor Prakash Raj, who was earlier seen in Malayalam in Pandippada with Dileep is doing the role of the Anti Terrorist Squad chief 'Stalin Manimaran'. Actor/producer/director Lal, Nithya Menon and Geetha are in the key roles.

Cinematography is by Satheesh Kurup, and Screen Play is by Sreejith V. Pillai. Gopi Sundar composes music for Rafeeq Ahmed'??s lyrics. The film is expected to grace theatres later this month.The movie raises a few relevant questions. What is right? What is wrong? What if one man's right in another man's wrong?
